Loeffler Randall Goldy Boots Review
This time of year, you’ll find me in boots pretty much every day. I’m not partial when it comes to the style — I’ll wear ankle boots, knee-high boots, and OTK boots. Honestly, if you peek inside my closet, you’d probably be surprised at the number of boots I own.
I first saw these Loeffler Randall knee-high boots a couple of years ago. I wanted to pull the trigger then, but I was pregnant with Four and just wasn’t sure I would wear them enough to justify the nearly $700 price tag.
Fast forward to this year. I found them on major sale earlier this fall and knew I had to have them. I’d had buyer’s remorse ever since passing them up before… and I was like 9 months pregnant in maternity clothes so I couldn’t really splurge on clothes since nothing would fit. ;)
I did look at a few alternative versions that weren’t quite so expensive. Madewell actually makes a super similar style at half the cost. But I’d heard really great things about these boots, so I decided to take the plunge.
Now that I’ve been wearing them for a few months, I decided it was time to share some of my thoughts on these boots. I get messages every time I post them, so I figured it would be helpful to have a place where all of my FAQs live on the blog! Hopefully, this will give you some insight if you’re considering these boots. If there’s anything I left out that would be helpful to know, comment below and I can update the post.
Loeffler Randall
Goldy Boots
At a nearly $700 price point, these boots are a huge investment. I’ve had my eye on them for a while and even considered a similar style at a lower price point, but I’m really glad I held out. These feel extremely high quality and they were comfortable from the first time I put them on. Plus, I’ve been able to style them with so many looks that I’m definitely getting my money’s worth.
WHAT IS SIZING LIKE FOR THE Loeffler Randall Goldy Boots?
All Loeffler Randall shoes are made to fit TTS, so I went with my regular shoe size of 7. After wearing them quite a few times, I will say that the toe area is a little tight, so if you have wide feet or are typically in between sizes, you might want to size up.
I was a little skeptical since these don’t have a zipper, but the shaft area fits easily with any normal pair of socks. I actually really like that the area around the calf isn’t too tight or too loose. I’ve had boots that felt both ways and they’re equally uncomfortable/annoying.
ARE THEY ACTUALLY COMFORTABLE?
IMO, yes! Any boot with a heel can be hit or miss. I definitely own several pairs of heeled boots that aren’t easy to walk in or that hurt my feet after I’ve worn them for a few hours. But I’ve had these since I was pregnant, and even at 9 months pregnant, I felt comfortable walking in them. They come with a padded footbed, which I think helps as well.
WHAT IS THE COST OF THE Loeffler Randall Goldy Boots?
At $695, I’m fully aware that these boots are on the higher end of the budget. I had to remind myself that I wasn’t buying any clothes (since I was 9 months pregnant) so I could put some of my clothes budget into these boots ha! However, as soon as these were delivered, I recognized the quality of the vachetta leather. There’s also NO glue on these boots, which is a huge plus. IYKYK.
ARE THE Loeffler Randall Goldy Boots WORTH THE COST?
If you’re one of those people who value a good pair of boots and can make them last for several years, I think this is a good investment. They’re an incredibly classic silhouette, so you won’t run the risk of them going out of style any time soon. I really like where they hit on my leg (I’m 5’3″ for reference), and I can wear them with dresses, jeans, and leggings.
I’ve had these for a few months now, and I’ve worn them a lot. I opted to go with the cognac color because they can be paired with more items in my closet, but they also come in beautiful black, khaki, and espresso colors.
I should note that these do not come with a dust bag. This kind of surprised me considering they cost nearly $700. I did find out that they do this in order to reduce their impact on the earth and create a more sustainable brand, which I appreciate. I don’t usually store my shoes in their original dust bags, so this wasn’t a deal breaker for me, but I know it might sway some of you in a different direction.
