Lately ON BTD + CABO Trip Recap
Wowza. A (freaking) LOT has happened since my last BTD Weekly Round Up 2 weeks ago. Or at least it feels that way. I’ve spent most of my time working my tail off on the new BTD Meal Plan and getting those recipes and such to you the past 2 weeks, doing random things for the house, and then a last minute trip to Cabo.

Before getting into all the latest instagram photos and outfit details (etc.), let’s recap some fun blog posts you might have missed over here on BTD, shall we?!
- On BEAUTY – Talked a little bit about how to make your curls last longer and wore this cutie little ruffle dress that I’ve actually worn on 3 different occasions in the past few weeks.
- On STYLE – Shared my 7 favorite cozy sweaters at the moment. The weather has been SO crazy back-and-forth in Dallas lately so I’ve been switching between these cozy numbers and workout clothes…
- On FAITH – I did another podcast blog post about a John Piper sermon that really rocked me (in a good way). It was mostly about memorizing scripture but also about hearing God’s voice – a refresh of the truth that God speaks to us through his written word and the power that scripture does and can have in our lives. And then I also posted a mini post about how it’s okay not to be okay (I just wanted these words to have a home on my blog – but it was originally an instagram post).
- On FOOD – First I announced the meal plan and why I started it, then I shared the first 2 weeks of recipes and grocery lists! You should check them out if you haven’t yet! I REALLY hope these are helpful and am eager to hear from each and every one of you that’s been trying or wants to try them! I’m using this 6 week period as a trial to see how y’all respond! So be sure to give me feedback!
- On LIFE and ISH – Shared a casual (#basic) outfit (hehe) and 23 ways to get your life together ASAP. This was SUCH a fun post y’all!
- On SHOPPING – I talked about the best and worst things to buy on Amazon Prime and opened up the convo to hear what Y’ALL buy and what makes your lives easier! Please chime in if you haven’t already!
What’s coming up on BTD?!
You guys spoke (mostly in the comments on the last BTD Weekly post!) about wanting to see a “how to buy a house” blog post and I took note! Side note – I think y’all sometimes forget HOW MUCH the comments mean to me and that I actually read (and take to heart) every single one of them. So when so many of y’all spoke up about wanting to see a post on this topic, I committed to it – although I feel like it’s not going to be the most riveting of topics (lol).
As I started writing things down, it became clear to me – by the sheer overload of information and stuff I learned – on the topic that it needs to be a little mini series. The first blog post will be tomorrow (yahoo!) and it will be about all the things to consider BEFORE buying a house – or like how you get to that point. I can’t wait to see what y’all think! Thanks again for commenting and engaging with me on BTD!
And secondly, we’ve got the cabinet/kitchen organization post (hopefully) being published this week. I’ve spent a lot of time on this (idk why these things take me so darn long?) and I hope y’all enjoy it! I’ve loved scouring Pinterest for ideas and thinking about the BEST and more practical ways to store things – form and function wise. I’m thinking I might do another blog post on pantry organization and maybe even venture into fridge organization? But as with everything, it ALL depends on what Y’ALL want to see and the feedback I get from the kitchen organization post! So be sure to let me know if you like it!
This Friday, we’ll be posting Week Three’s grocery list and corresponding recipes for the BTD 6 Week Meal Plan. If you haven’t been following along, check out the past 2 weeks here!

I didn’t talk about this in my instagram caption, but ACTUALLY those logs^^ behind me are a VERY big deal. It was another one of my big (ish…) #adulting moments because I bought myself some FAKE logs. Did you know that these puppies are expensive as ALL GET OUT!? I sure as HECK did NOT! But I guess they’ll last for a longgggg time. Even still, just a heads up if you ever plan to have a gas fire one day or are considering some fake logs – lol. Whatever the case, I have this fire on like all the time because I can’t get enough!

Cabo Trip // Outfit Recap
If you’ve followed me on ANYTHING for the past week-ish, then you’re 190% aware that I was in Cabo last week…because I sort of posted about it A LOT. Sorry friends, hope I didn’t run y’all off. But anyway, my roomies and I planned a spontaneous little getaway to Cabo and it was AMAZE. We haven’t had a washer since moving in (it wasn’t avail at ANY of the appliance stores in Dallas….) and I didn’t have a mattress etc. etc. To say the least, we’ve just been unsettled on pretty much all accounts, so a last minute trip to get out of the house and catch some sunshine sounded like the perfect idea!
NOTE: Get 20% OFF any of the suits I posted (via WALA Swim until 1/30) w/ code BTD20!
This was my travel #ootd – it was cold and dreary day in Dallas so I needed some pants and a jacket. Both of which came off immediately once we got to the resort – we went STRAIGHT for the pool (#duh!) I just got these Stan Smith’s and I’m loving them. They were a lEEtle too white at first, but after spilling my coffee on them (ha!) and wearing them around a bit, I’m falling more and more in love with how cool-girl-funky the style is.
Outfit Details: MOTHER ‘The Looker’ Jeans // adidas ‘Stan Smith’ Sneaker // Lush Ruffle Sleeve Tee // Leith Satin Bomber Jacket (also worn in this blog post about how to be awesome!) // BaubleBar Lariat Choker
Outfit Details: Karla Colletto Plunge Swimsuit (wearing size 6) // BP. Floppy Hat // Baublebar Crispin Striped Earrings (LOVE these babies y’all! They’re so stinkin’ cute! I have in multiple colors!)
Details: Karla Colletto Plunge One Piece (wearing size 6) // Hinge Stripe Floppy Hat // FITS Floppy Straw Hat
Truth is, I just bought this top in black (today actually!) because I loved the white so much. It’s a great material for daytime or night and it’s easy to pair earrings with (since it’s pretty simple + solid and easy) I think it looks really cute front-tucked but it’s also fine untucked too. I’m just really short and so if I don’t do a front tuck, most shirts hit me at a funky spot and it’s not so flattering.
Outfit Details: Lush Cross Front Top (wearing size XS + $48) // AG ‘the legging’ Jeans (I mean, so good. I wear these things ALL the time if you haven’t already noticed) // Cloverpost Heart Earrings (You guys, LOVING these things if you haven’t noticed?!) // Tory burch wedges (super old – but I’m crushing over these Marc Fisher Platform Wedges at the moment!)
Details: Seafolly Bandeau // Seafolly Twist Band Bottoms // BP. Floppy Hat // Cloverpost Heart Earrings
Awww looking at this photo makes me smile! I’m so excited to be living with the cuties and the first 2 weeks of living together has already been too good to be true. It’s so much fun :)
okay so, this top is really fun! BUT I want you to note that it’s like ALL open in the front. It’s hard to explain but it’s basically like a jacket-ISH and then then it ties together but is a little open. Idk, just wanted to give you a heads up.
Deets: English Factory Ruffle Top w/ Pom Poms // Ray-Ban Folding Sunglasses // COH ‘Rocket’ Jeans // Marc Fisher Platform Wedge
Outfit Details: Ondademar Fringe Swim Top // Ondademar Print Hipster // Ray-Ban Folding Sunglasses
Back in Dallas (Before Cabo)
Outfit Details: Woven Heart V-Neck Pullover (wearing size XS) // Rag & Bone Harrow Bootie // BaubleBar ‘Millie’ Bar Pendant (wearing the same one just adjusted for different lengths!) // J.Crew Classic Denim Jacket // Citizens of Humanity ‘Rocket’ High Rise Jeans
Outfit Details: Vince Warren Sneaker (size down 1/2 size. Y’all, I live in these babes) // Gucci Leather Belt (wearing size 80) // Cotton Emporium Mock Neck Tunic (wearing size XS) // Ray-Ban Original Aviators // MOTHER ‘The Looker’ Jeans (loving the high waist)
YOU GUYS! This top. I have been wearing this on repeat IRL (in real life) for like almost every day that I haven’t been in Cabo because I haven’t had time to shopping in a bit. I’m considering getting it in black…
Outfit Details: BP. Ruffle Hem Pullover (wearing size XS, under $50) // BaubleBar ‘Millie” Pavé Bar Pendant // BLANKNYC Fool Me Twice Skinny Jeans // adidas Superstar sneakers

Details: Socialite Strap Front Tee (OBSESSED tho people! so GOOD!) // Recover Glitter Party iPhone 7+ Case
Been wearing these sneakers (also have the same ones in black) NONSTOP you guys. They’re just SO stinkin’ comfortable. They’re currently my No. 1 GO-TO (aside from my slippers).

Topshop Butterfly top (loves it!)
And then I found the cutest tee-shirt EVER. I sort of dig it. And I really want to wear it with cute jogger sweat pants and sneaks soon too! I wore this outfit to a fun little brunch that Baublebar did in Dallas. I got to meet the founders of the company and had a bit of a #fangirl moment because those ladies are SUCH badasses. (ooops did I just cuss? sorry)
Outfit Details: Dee Keller ‘Portia’ Pump // Citizens of Humanity Rocket High Rise Jeans // Topshop Bomber Jacket (On SALE! woohoo!) // Topshop Tokyo Blossom Tee // BaubleBar Pavé Archer Studs
