Whether you’ve already celebrated or not, I just wanted to say Happy 4th!! …and post a few independence-day-inspired picks of mine.

My sister and mom are both on their way to Italy, and I couldn’t be more excited for them. Well…really just my sister, since my mom will most likely be working around the clock, designing the Fall 2013 (I think? I can’t keep track) collection for Dee Keller Design. CoCo starts med school soon, so I’m so happy she is getting to enjoy her last few weeks of freedom in one of my favorite places on this earth: Italy! So I’ll be living vicariously through her adventures for the next week or so :)

 Yesterday, I confirmed the date of my first (of 4) CPA exams. I’m taking one of the hardest ones first to get it over with and have been studying for a few weeks now. My test is on the 18th and even though that seems far away….it’s actually MAJOR crunch time! I talked to one of my sister’s friends who took FAR (the one I’m taking first) and she said, I quote, “well…I really don’t know how I did; it felt like I was being punched in the stomach for 4 hours.” How encouraging, right? haha. I’m just hoping I’ll be able to fit all the information in my brain…I wish I had a mile-long dry erase board or something….or a room covered in chalk-board paint. That would make studying a little more interesting. no?

anyway, I definitely plan on keeping things as usual on BrightonTheDay, but if my posts seem a little skimpy….at least you know why! But who knows, maybe I’ll surprise myself with some time management skills. I guess only time will tell! xoxo
