IFB Recap

So exhausted from a long day at the IFB conference today at Milk Studios in NYC. It was such a fabulous event, with so many wonderful people in attendance. The panels were incredibly inspiring and jam-packed with helpful and very insightful information and tips for bloggers.

It didn’t take long for McKenzie Horan (from Design Darling) and I to find each other from the onset of the event – we were both super excited to finally meet and pretty much stayed together throughout the day. She was so wonderful! Thanks to McKenzie, I got the opportunity to meet Jane Lilly Warren from Matchbook Magazine – her glasses were too adorable (…considering trying to rock some of my own – thoughts?!)

It was so fun getting to meet Kiley from A Sequin Dress at Breakfast blog – she looked so cute in her J. Crew Cheetah Dress. Thanks to her, I was inspired to finally bite the bullet and purchase a new camera lens! I’m super excited about it, and hope I’ll be able to start taking better pictures…

I loved getting to meet Andy Torres from Style Scrapbook. I wasn’t aware she was going to be speaking, but when I saw her on stage, I lost it! I was so excited! Her accent was so cute and her advice was very inspiring and helpful. I was also thrilled to meet the lovely Emily from Cupcakes & Cashmere. I loved hearing her answer to my question regarding the role that her family plays in and with her blog. She said her grandmother was her biggest fan! (I love that!)

The J. Brand station was awesome! I had a blast dressing up in a “J. Brand Outfit” from head-to-toe for the contest – I can’t wait to see all the outfits that people put together on J. Brand’s Facebook Page!!

I was thrilled to meet Wendy from Wendy’s Lookbook! And I was lucky enough to meet her talented boyfriend and photographer as well! If you haven’t checked out her blog yet, you should definitely give it a look! She is so stylish and adorable – love her blog!

A Snapshot of one of the panels…On the far left is Grace Atwood from Stripes & Sequins! She manages to write a fabulous and continuously inspiring blog while also doing all the social media for BaubleBar (jewelry website).

So nice to meet Jessica from Bows & Sequins and Kristina from Sucker 4 Sequins!
All the panels were amazing! I am so glad that I was able to attend and am already looking forward to the next conference.
I head back to Louisiana later today….and back to reality. But I’m super excited to get back to having a bed of my own and being organized again. I’ve been living out of a suitcase for WAY too long!
