One of my most asked questions I get is about how to wear crew socks. I’ve been a fan of crew socks for quite a while now. It started when I needed a solid sock to work out in that wouldn’t slide down. I tried all kinds of different no-show socks to wear during workouts, but they’d always end up completely engulfed by my shoe. (Biggest. Pet. Peeve.)
I don’t even remember the first pair of crew socks I tried. Or the second. But finally, I just ordered this pair of Hanes crew socks on Amazon because they were cheap and I didn’t have super high expectations. But they’ve honestly been my favorite pair so far. Not only are they extremely comfortable, but they stay up perfectly and hit at the right height on my leg. I’ll even scrunch them down from time to time if I’m wearing shorts.
I know a lot of people are worried crew socks will make their legs look short, but I’ve honestly never felt like they do. As someone who is only 5’3″ (5’4″ on a good day…), I actually feel like crew socks elongate the legs.
I’ve found ways to style them with when I’m just hanging around the house, when I’m going to work out, and even when I’m going to run errands and want to look somewhat put together.
Below are some of my favorite “crew sock looks” that I’ve styled over the past year. Be sure to bookmark this post for inspo the next time you style crew socks!
