How I Accessorize a Colorful Dress

It’s no secret that I love a colorful spring dress. I’ve written several posts over the past month about different dresses I’m loving (see here and hereand most of my March top sellers were fun dresses for spring.

Whenever I share a dress with colorful prints and patterns, I always get a lot of questions about how I accessorize it so I thought I’d write an entire post about my tips and tricks. This is just what I stick to, but you can style it however you like!

In most cases, I like to really have fun with the dress and draw out some of the colors in the fabric. For instance, with this CeliaB dress, I really love the orange color throughout the print, so I paired the dress with these Marc Fisher ankle strap sandals to really make the color pop.

I’m also a big fan of the light pink you see in the dress too, and I like that it’s a much more neutral hue compared to the orange, so I grabbed my light pink Chanel bag for just a hint of color that goes perfectly with this dress.

Whenever I have a dress with a crazier print or pattern, I try to minimize my jewelry. For instance, for this look, I opted for these simple gold earrings and a few bracelets from this classic stack.

There are definitely times when I’ll choose to pair a colorful statement piece with more neutral accessories like with this neon green jacket. It honestly just depends on my mood, where I’m going, etc.

If you’re looking for some colorful handbags and statement accessories, I’ve got you covered. Don’t forget to pair your look with some fun sandals too (HOW amazing is this neon green pair!?)!
