Hi there! Good morning and happy thanksgiving eve 🙂 I hope you’re all having an awesome week so far (#cheers to 3 day work week! although not so much for me…but I’m happy to be at your service during this hectic time).
Today I’m featuring a trend you’ve probably seen just about everywhere lately – the blanket poncho. Or maybe you’re like me and had no idea that’s what they were called?! I was trying to figure out what to name this post and I kept changing it – I went wrong fringe poncho to cape to blanket wrap and many more combinations…and then eventually saw this “thing” titled a blanket poncho on the Nordstrom website. So I went with that.
No but really, haven’t you seen these around lately? I’ve seen a few people belt them (like Blair did here), which looks super cute on some people; however, I seem to be too short to pull it off (ha! …WAY too much fabric going on for my 5 foot 2 figure)
I think my favorite way to wear these is with tall boots – ESPECIALLY tall boots with a heel! Which look (of these two…or anything else you’ve seen around town) is your favorite way to stye these blanket ponchos?!
On another note, I actually prefer the cut of this one that I wore a few weeks ago. For some reason, it doesn’t have as much fabric and it felt a little more manageable.

If you follow me on instagram, then you’ve seen that I’ve been getting a head start with all the Black Friday WEEK sales. Yes, this coming Friday will be HUGE (as will the following ‘CYBER’ Monday), but some retailers start their sales EARLY.
As such, I’m committed to simplifying the chaos for you and doing my best to keep you informed on all that’s WORTH knowing during this hectic time. I’ve rounded up a few of the sales (including discount codes + my picks) for those of you that want to get a head start.
Some of the major retailers (e.g., Nordstrom, Bloomingdales) aren’t doing anything specific for actual BLACK FRIDAY and CYBER MONDAY events, but for the most part there are distinct deals and specials promoted throughout the next 5 days.
