I apologize for this JUST being published, but I’m thrilled to finally share the finished realists of my Denver office! I LOVE it!
Of all the rooms we decorated in the house, I think this one took me the longest to figure out because I couldn’t figure out how I wanted to lay it out. I knew I needed a full length mirror in here for outfit try-ons and styling, but I couldn’t figure out where to put the desk.
My favorite option was using a round table as a desk instead of a traditional desk because it filled the room without feeling too much in my way. This table has been a great work station for me and it’s actually where I end up putting my makeup on most days too!
For the longest time, this room felt very much like a big white box because I didn’t have anything on the walls. Adding the bookshelves really did A LOT for making it feel finished. I love the way it turned out!
I played around with possibly putting my closet in here too, but ultimately that was too cluttered and didn’t work out. Plus, I didn’t want all that in the background of my photos all the time. I wanted something more clean 🙂
If you missed it, I ended up turning a room in the basement into my closet.
Home Decor Shops I Love for Styling Bookshelves
Many of the items on the bookshelves are vintage or not available, but I’ve found some similar options if you’re in the market for shelf decor. I don’t know about you, but it usually takes me a very long time to gather all the little things that make up my shelves. If you were following me when I lived in Dallas, I actually had a lot of built-in shelves in that home and it took me a year to finally finish those! I love browsing online for little decor items to add to a space, so I thought it might be fun to share some of my favorite spots with you!
Etsy – when I have the patience to look and know what I’m looking for
Serena & Lily – they have a very curated selection, but I still love looking because I love their vibe!
Amber Interiors Shoppe – some of the stuff is pretty pricey, but I like looking and finding inspiration!
Rejuvenation – they don’t always have a lot of options for decor accents in particular, but I always like looking because I’ve found a thing or two I’ve loved!
I’m sure I’m forgetting a few, but there are some great options if you’re needing some ideas!
