I’m sure it’s debatable, but I feel pretty confident when I say that purchasing a classic, solid-colored dress is never a bad idea. Meaning, you really can’t go wrong by adding one of these to your wardrobe. I know, I know, I should never say never, but just take it with a grain of salt. (clearly, there could be a situation, where doing such could be a BAD idea…but let’s not dwell on that).
Ok, so moving on then…. Although they say that “fashion fades”, you would have to buy a pretty crazy-looking solid-colored dress (with fringe or weird cut-outs or something) for it to be a purchase you would kick yourself for the next year….wondering “Why on earth did I buy that?” Don’t you think? The bottom line is that you can not only dress these lovely dresses up with different accessories & shoes, but you can also count on getting good use out of them in years to come. So there you have it, then–diversity and longevity. Sounds like smart shopping to me. No?
And if shopping isn’t quite on the horizon for you, have some fun this weekend and change things up a bit. Dig in your closet in hopes of pulling out one of those random dresses from “ages ago” and add a little modern touch to it…making it feel new and exciting again to you. We should make this a challenge or something? If you can prove my point this weekend, I’d be thrilled to see what you find and come up with.
