If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know I’ve tried a number of different mascaras in a hunt to find my perfect match. I’m talking dozens of different options. I’ve gone from high-end mascaras like Chanel to drugstore options like CoverGirl — and honestly, nothing has really blown me away.
I kept getting ads (targeted ads are spot on lol) for this mascara from some brand called Thrive and decided why not? The reviews were really good, and the results looked amazing from the photos I saw. So I added to cart and waited a few days until it arrived.
I’m telling y’all, this mascara is DIFFERENT. It’s the only one I keep in my makeup bag anymore (paired with a primer, of course). There are so many things I love about it, but first and foremost is the fact that it makes your lashes look so dang long!
I did some research and found that the Thrive mascara is also dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested, which is super important for me and my sensitive eyes (IYKYK).
MY MASCARA-APPLYING PROCESS
Several of you have DM’d me on Instagram asking if I have any tricks or tips for applying mascara. Honestly, I don’t do anything crazy, this is just what I’ve learned works for me through a lot of trial and error.
+ First, I curl my lashes first (this is a key step in getting that “wide awake” look, trust me!)
+ Secondly, I use the Lancome Cils Booster primer
+ Last, I apply the Thrive Lash Extension mascara
Since this is a tubing mascara, I’ve found it never smears or smudges during the day, yet it comes off easily with soap and water. I love how easy this makes the take-off process. Plus, it doesn’t transfer like some of my other mascaras.
