It’s not very often that I get to dress up like I’m back at ‘the big 4’ (I used to work at a big CPA firm) and working in corporate america again. But when I do find an excuse to break out the pencil skirts again, I always wear them proudly. Other than the fact that I can’t sit criss-cross-apple-sauce in one (confession: I hate sitting like an adult), the pencil skirt is probably one of my favorite professional staples. I think every woman has a classic black pencil skirt hanging in her closet, but this grey colored one is a little less expected yet just as versatile and easy to wear. I like how it looks a little less serious/boring yet doesn’t call for too much attention and can be paired with neutrals and/or bright colors for a classic or statement-making ensemble
Not only is a pencil skirt one of the most flattering pieces a women can wear, but it also exudes power and confidence – don’t you think? And it can easily be transformed from day to night. I love this one from french connection because it’s sweatshirt material. So, as you can imagine, it’s super comfortable! BUT it still has that professional, chic look to it. Don’t you think? And I like how the zippers on the side (as well as the high-low hem) add a special touch that makes it a little more interesting than any other typical pencil skirt.
