Confession. During the summer, I probably change outfits 2 (if not 3 or 4) times a day. Why? Because all the sweating and hotness just makes me feel nasty – and I can’t stand wearing dirty clothes. So yeah, I end up doing a lot more laundry during this time of year (ha!) and right now, with the Texas summer heat at its torturous peak, I’m willing to do whatever it takes to stay cool! I’ve been resorting to cut out tops, short shorts, flowy tops and the like to make my way through the end of Summer.

For the longest time I was against the whole shorts-and-heels look because I thought it looked (a little – don’t judge me I’m just being frank) trashy-ish? And I know that pairing jorts with heels is the ultimate shorts-and-heels risk, but I’ve slowly become more open in this department. It’s actually kind of cute and makes for fun and care-free outfits – the whole jorts-and-wedges/heels combo, that is. Don’t you think?!

I got this outfit a few weeks ago when I made my bi-monthly (plus or minus a few) trip at the local Nordstrom Rack (gotta check often since they’re always getting new stuff!) And I came home with some of my favorite brands – including Free PeopleTheoryTrina Turk, and Splendid (so much great Splendid stuff online right now!) at ridiculously good prices (#winning!). I don’t think I’ve ever made a trip without finding at least one amaze steal 😉

Thanks to Nordstrom Rack for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
