Happy Valentine’s Day y’all! Who’s excited? Who’s not? I’ve got mixed feelings about it tbh, but I’m all about having an excuse to celebrate.
If you’re not a big fan of V-Day, I outlined 5 steps to making this day a happy one – no matter your status – so be sure to check that out. In that post, I touched on the importance of self-love and pampering yourself – important year round but especially on a day dedicated to love and loving yourself. I seriously got so excited writing that step out because I’m all about this current trend of self-love/care and focusing on yourself.
10 Ways to Pamper Yourself for Valentine’s Day
I’ve been trying to find more ways to pamper myself and I thought today was the perfect day to share those with y’all! Ready to feel really freakin’ good?
1. Get a Mani/pedi
Not a super original idea, but how often do you really treat yourself to a full mani pedi sesh? If it’s not that often, call your nail salon and book it…right now. If you’re in need a little color insp, I’m a huge fan of this neutral OPI color and this pink is perfection for Spring – bring your color to the salon so you can clean up chips on your own.
2. Get a blowout
In the same vein as heading to get your nails done, head to a local blowdry bar and let the hair magicians work their magic. There’s really nothing better than having someone wash your hair (and give you a head massage, omggg) and then take the time to make your hair look amazing. For me that means I don’t have to actually do my own hair for like a week (major dry shampoo fan, y’all), and that’s such a nice gift to myself. Also, they usually serve champagne at blow dry places so…
3. Take a Nap!
For all your working mamas or just tired females in general, take an extra long nap. Nothing feels better and and is more precious than sleep, especially when it’s during the day. If it’s bright outside wear a little eye mask, turn of your phone(!) and you’ll be asleep in no time.
4. Dry brush + shower
Are y’all on the dry brush train yet? It started as a wellness trend but I’m seeing it everywhere now. Dry brushing is basically a practice of firmly massaging your body with a dry brush (like this one) in circular patterns moving towards your heart. It helps with cellulite, detoxification, stimulating lymph nodes, digestion, and plus it’s super good for removing dead cells. Do this before heading into your shower or bath and your skin will feel so lux. P.S. Make your shower extra relaxing with a shower melt – holy spa vibes.
5. Treat Yourself to a Bubble bath
This is one of my most favorite ways to decompress and I hardly do it often enough. If you’re a bath fan, a real treat is to skip the shower and draw yourself a little bath. Get some bubbly (champagne and actual bubbles – this lavender one is ahhhmazing), play spa music or something relaxing, and just chillll. I’m also a big fan of using some sort of bath tray to keep my drink(s), a book, a yummy candle, whatever – it just adds to the pampering feels.
6. Dance class + green juice
OK, hear me out. Maybe a workout and a veggie drink doesn’t sound amazing, but think about all the good that comes with both. Time to focus on your body and health. You’ll have endorphins from the workout and if you bring a few friends along, you’re guaranteed to have a blast/laughs in the class. Follow it up with a big green juice or a healthy meal and pamper yourself in the form of your health! This is such a good idea if you’ve been traveling or just feeling blah lately.
7. Get your makeup done
Grab your mom or a girlfriend and head to the makeup counter. Let a professional give you a full makeup makeover, maybe grab a few new products that you love, then head out to dinner or somewhere fun. Much like a blow dry, having someone else do this mundane beauty step is a serious present to yourself.
8. Get a Facial or massage
Another one of my favorites! Pamper yourself with a full spa day or at the least a facial or massage, especially if you’ve been stressed lately. Companies like Zeel will even send a professional to your house (I mean, that’s as good as it gets, right??) and set up shop right in your living room. At the least, throw on a face mask (I love this glowing one and this hydrating option).
9. Eat your favorite meal
Do you have a certain restaurant that you absolutely love or a meal you dream about? Go get it! Pampering yourself doesn’t end with beauty, it involves spoiling yourself and indulging in general! Forget about the calories or whatever is holding you back from getting your favorite meal and just go – especially if you’ve been focused on being healthy recently #treatyoself.
10. Do absolutely nothing, without guilt
Don’t get me wrong, everything on this list sounds so freakin’ amazing, but sometimes we just need to do nothing. Sit on our couch with endless reality TV shows or a book, whatever you don’t get to do enough of. No judgements. Forget your to-do list or what you should be doing and just veg out. And enjoy it!

Are y’all feeling relaxed already? Hope you enjoy the pampering!
