For my recent trip to Paris, I tried to be smart about how and what I brought with me. And if you saw, I shared some of packing tips with you last week! That being said, I spent some time brainstorming ways to make the most out of every item I packed in my suitcase all the while thinking of content ideas that I could share with y’all. With Parisian style staples on my mind, I was inspired to style a simple striped tee multiple ways. My original plan was to shoot the looks in Paris (obviously, since I brought and wore them!), but the rain sort of killed that plan. But I was so excited about the idea (one piece 3 ways) that I committed to shooting the looks right when I got back to Dallas, so I could share them with y’all.
I wanted to make sure that each look was different enough so I made sure to pair the striped tee with 3 different bottoms and color combinations. I also wanted to show a variety of different “attires” so I did one dressy, one sort of casual, and the other has more of a work-ish vibe for those of you in an office environment.
Today I’m featuring the more business-casual-looking one, which is actually my favorite! But check back tomorrow and Wednesday to see the other two ways I’ve styled this striped top!

A little about Look One (of three):Business Casual Trench Vest + Black Pants
You can never go wrong with olive green and stripes – it will forever be a winning combo in my book and an outfit that I am always going back to regardless of the season. For this look, I paired my striped tee with my favorite new pair of black pants. I’ll warn you guys, these babies are expensive but in my opinion, they were well worth the price.
I’ve talked about my love the Banana Republic and J.Crew’s Pixie pant, but these Rag & Bone ones are on a whole other level as far as quality is concerned. So if you’re open to investing ($300) into a pair of timeless black pants, I would HIGHLY recommend these. Plus, they’re high-waisted which makes them even more versatile in my opinion.
I layered my new Club Monaco trench vest to add a professional-looking structure to the look. Plus, I felt like the outfit needed something extra to make it more interesting (a classic cardigan would have been cute too); it just needed something a little more long-line to play with the high-waisted fit of the pants.
