As I’ve been shopping the #Nsale for myself, I can’t help but feel a tad bit overwhelmed by how many amazing deals there are and I find myself wanting to buy everything. Do you feel that way? So although I knew it was going to be A LOT of work, I wanted to try something a little different. And I’ll admit, it was more of a time investment than I had anticipated, but I really wanted to figure out a way to SERVE you and TRULY help you as you navigate all the great deals.
And so today, I”m sharing SIX picks from the sale that I truly believe in and am confident will be great purchases for you this Fall. I’m SHOWING you this (rather than simply telling you) by styling THREE different looks for each pick! For each pick, I talk about why I love it in general and then I comment on the 3 different ways I styled it. Pick One: Black Dolman Sleeve Dress
I have several different black dresses hanging in my closet right now, but I truly believe that each one serves a different purpose in the big picture of my wardrobe. For instance, some are easier to dress up and down and others have sleeves for transitional days and layering and then a few are strictly for the summer heat here in Dallas. But all of them are special in their own way and serve a purpose. Today I’m suggesting that this little dolman sleeve dress as a wardrobe staple slash ESSENTIAL for Fall and I’m going to show you why by styling it 3 different ways (although I could very well style it even more to be honest!).

ONE – Tying a chambray shirt (also part of the sale!) around your waist will definitely dress the dress down and it’s great for those in-between days when you might want the option to throw on another layer.

TWO – Throw your favorite utility jacket (if you don’t have one, I’ve got a few for you with my next pick!) over this black dress with riding boots and you’ve got yourself and easy, laid back and totally Fall-ready ensemble!

THREE – Create a completely different look with the same black dress (and even the same booties) by throwing a slouchy, open front sweater vest over it. You could also wear tall/riding boots with this look, but I wanted the “spunkier” vibes of ankle booties!

Pick Two: Olive Green Utility Jacket
Next up we have another quintessential Fall staple – the utility/military jacket! I don’t need to convince you how great having one of these is but I will however who you a few fun ways to style it. It’s such an easy throw on and matches just about everything. All in all, it’s just great to have as an option in your closet for layering.

ONE – This is such a comfy and easy look for when bare legs still make sense but you want a little extra warmth up top or you’ll be walking in and outside heated buildings a lot!

THREE – Who doesn’t love an excuse to wear leggings? (girl-raising-hand-emoji). Without the utility jacket, this outfit is sort of meh, but adding the extra layer totally pulls the whole thing together and makes it look like an actual “outfit”!

Pick Three: Lush Roll-Sleeve Tunic Blouse
Next up we have one of my favorite blouses of ALL time (that I legit have in 7 colors). If you’ve been following me for more than a second, then you’ve probably already seen me wear this thing (and probs more than once too). I was so excited to see the lush tunic was included in the sale again this year and I noticed the cut is a little different than last year and the material feels a tad bit different – yay for change! This year, they’re not as long, which I’m thankful for because I felt like they were a tad too long last year. Anyway, it’s on sale for $26 and I got it in 4 colors but I’m styling the black one for y’all!

ONE – Throw on a cozy cardigan and play up your neutrals game with some brown leather riding boots and dark denim. I love how cozy this outfit is, yet it still looks put together too! You could also wear a longer/pendant necklace with this look too to elongate your torso!

Pick Four: Striped, Short-Sleeved Tee
I don’t think I need to do much when convincing when I say that everyone needs a black and white striped tee in their closet. I’d even be willing you argue you need different types of striped tees with variations in the “stripe” where some are more dominantly white and others more dominantly black (like this tee) as well as varying necklines and sleeve length. And for $17, you really can’t say no to this one! I also got this tee in solid white and black just to have as basics. For reference, I got size XS.

TWO – I’ve found that pairing my white jeans with black and white stripes is one of the easiest ways to pull off the white-after-labor-day look. As long as you have SOME element that looks super Fall/Winter-ish like a cashmere wrap (also love this one!), tall boots (or even booties), or some sort of vest/sweater!

Pick Five: Long Camel Cardigan
Lots of things remind me of Fall – like riding boots, blanket scarves, all things plaid, and puffer vests. But I think my absolute FAVORITE color for Fall is anything and everything in a tan or neutral brown/camel color. When shopping for Fall clothes, my eyes always wander towards the different shades of tan and brown – I love mixing neutrals as well! And so this camel cardigan was a NO brainer for me! It’s the perfect shade of tan and the length is great too – it’s not too longer to pull off on a daily basis and not too short either.

ONE – I love pairing camel with black and playing up my neutrals game (as I’ve mentioned a few times before in this post!). This is a super comfortable and versatile look that you could wear to work, football games, or even just running around town over the weekend!

THREE – I love wearing monochromatic outfits with a pop of pattern or color to balance it all out. Leather pants (which are also on sale) are another one of my ABSOLUTE favorite wardrobe staples to create outfits with during Fall and Winter.

Pick Six: Open Front Sweater Vest
In addition to getting yourself plenty of comfy cardigans to carry you through Fall, I would argue that an open front vest could prove to be just as useful and necessary. Just like cardigans can make or “complete” an outfit, a sweater vest acts as a great accessory. It also is a bit more comfortable (not as hot) which allows it to act as a great transitional piece.

So there you have it! Those are my SIX super star picks that I KNOW will for sure serve you well this coming Fall! and although I didn’t include them as part of the actual “six”, I wanted to mention that the other items I used to create these items were chosen very intentionally! I tried to use as FEW items as possible! So things like the riding boots, ankle booties (also LOVE these), and the chambray shirt are also GREAT staples to consider as well.
