Nia Skincare Review

NIA not into aging skincare product review

Hey Y’all! Happy Saturday! This week has been quite the crazy one – Lisel and I have been running around like mad women playing catchup after spending the week in Charleston last week. But speaking of Charleston, were you able to follow along via Instagram stories and/or Snapchat? If so, then you might remember that we did a mini, little beauty review towards the end of our trip talking about our newest skincare obsession – Nia products. Ringing any bells? If not, that’s fine too. We were just being silly (as per usual) and talking about how much we were loving the Nia foam facial wash…and ordering pizza slash setting healthier goals for the next week since we ate so much in Charleston (y’all, the food is oh em gee good but oh-so-not-healthy too!).

When I travel, I love using the time away to try out new products because it forces me to only use what I brought. And plus, using the same product on a consistent basis allows me to really get a feel for how it’s working and affecting my skin – at least in the case of skincare products. I brought 6 different products from the NIA skincare line that actually just launched THIS March at Ulta – so yes, it’s available right now (woohoo!). After my Snapchat review, I got a lot of questions regarding which of the products was my favorite and to talk a little bit more about them, so dedicating a blog post seemed pretty fitting.

Let’s back up real quick and talk a little bit about the brand in general. When trying any new product, I think it’s important to get the “411” (aka the down low) on the brand and what their mission and values are all about. The name “NIA” actually stands for “not into aging”, which I think is so clever! It’s made FOR millennials BY millennials, taking into account our tech-obsessed, fast-paced lifestyle. Because let’s face it, we do things a little differently than our parents did, right? And so I love that Nia considers our generation’s habits – such as the fact that we’re always looking DOWN at our phones and squinting at screens – in order to deliver a custom, unique skincare solution to target our specific skincare needs.

There are dozens of skincare products out there that cater to our different short and long-term skincare needs, but what I like about these products is that they cover all your bases in one line of products. Not only do you see the instant gratification of glowing, smooth (yummy-smelling) skin, but you’re also preventing further aging for future, more delayed gratification as well. I’m all about simplifying my skincare routine – so I’m loving it so far.

If you saw my Snapchat over the weekend, then you might remember Lisel and I obsessing over how good the “Wash + Glow Hydrating Cleansing Foam” facial wash smells! Y’all, it’s amazing. I don’t know about you, but I feel like the smell of a product can really make or break it – especially when it’s going on your face! I also love how lightweight the cleansing foam is. Plus, it removes my makeup too! So there we go again with eliminating steps in my nighttime routine – #winning!

Other than the foaming cleaning wash, I’m already LOVING the Fully Charged  Serum x Moisturizer. It makes my skin super smooth and is the perfect pre-makeup prep product. But I love that it also acts as a serum as well so I’m getting in my preventative action too! It’s a lazy girl’s dream (ha!) – and like I said above, I’m all about simplifying my daily routine; the less steps the better, if you as me!

And the last (of the 6 total products included in the launch) product I want to call out is the Fake Awake Triple Action Eye Gel. For starters, how cute is that name: “Fake Awake”? So clever! And who doesn’t need a little help when it comes to looking awake in the morning, right? A little of this stuff goes a LONG way in helping to brighten, de-puff, and smooth out the delicate skin under my eyes. I’ve been using it in the morning and night and have been able to actually see (and feel!) a difference in my skin. It has a ceramic tip applicator, so it feels cool every single time you put it on!

All in all, I’m a huge fan of this new line and love that it’s everything you need for immediate (and long-term) results all bottled up into only 6 products. Like I said, I’m about simplifying my skincare routine. Because let’s face it, most of the time I forget to take off my makeup anyway much less go through 12 steps of a skincare routine. If you’d like to try it out yourself, you can find all of these products at Ulta!

If you’ve given any of these products a shot, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
