I don’t usually LOVE red and black together but I was pleasantly surprised at how this look turned out. I actually really like the skater skirt with tights red and black combo here. Not sure why, but the red and black together don’t really bother me – maybe it’s because the red isn’t a super BRIGHT red if you know what I mean? Regardless, I like how it turned out and it’s very festive and perfect for Valentines day – right?!
I had originally bought this red skirt to wear during Christmas time but never got around to wearing it. But since I bought it so long ago, the good news is that it’s now on MAJOR sale! And the best part about Valentine’s day being after the Holidays is that you can get even more wear out of all your red, festive clothing.
Speaking of this skirt specifically, I love that you can wear it year round – it’s not too winter-y looking or too summery – it actually looks super cute with tights (don’t you think?!) AND it’s high-waisted, which is always a flattering look if you ask me.
Speaking of Valentine’s day, do you have plans yet? If I’m being honest, I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing or where I’ll even be. I’m considering going to New York for all the fashion festivities, but the thought of all that snow horrifies me a little bit – a trip to anywhere-around-the-equator (aka BEACH and SUN) sounds SO MUCH more inviting.
