There’s something so dreamy about wearing whites and creams (especially together) in the winter time. It’s definitely a statement maker, as most people stick to darker hues, BUT I think it’s winter white is such a GOOD look – especially when dressed up for a snazzy night or date out like I did here. The winter whites look is crisp and clean and classic in all the right ways. In fact, come to think of it, wearing white in winter might just be one of my favorite looks/themes of the season – it’s just SO chic!
And the whole no wearing white after labor day rule? Come on now. I think we can all agree that that rule is SOoOo old news! (and SO lame if you ask me!)
I guess I kind of get the no-white-rule when it comes to shoes. But even still, any rule can be broken when it’s broken well.
My tip for wearing whites well during winter is to mix similar hues of neutral – maybe just have one key piece that’s stark white and then mix it with other obviously-wintery items. I love wearing winter white with riding boots (like these!) paired with black and white stripes or a chunky cream (or grey) knit. For this outfit, I paired it with a cozy cream sweater and nude pumps for a night time, going-out look that I wore to a La Crema Pinot Noir event last week.
