How I Use Mighty Patch For Pimples

Step 1: Cleanse My Face

The first thing I do when I see a pimple pop up is cleanse my face with my favorite cleanser. I’ve used the Tula cleanser for a long time (more on that here). This helps remove any dirt, oil, and makeup from my skin so it’s clean and ready to treat. I avoid harsh scrubbing to prevent further irritation.

Step 2: Apply a Warm Compress

Once my face is clean, I apply a warm, damp washcloth to the area for a few minutes. This helps open up the pores and can bring the pimple to a head faster .

Step 3: Spot Treatment

If I catch the pimple early enough, I dab a small amount of benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid on the spot. These ingredients help reduce inflammation and kill acne-causing bacteria .

Step 4: Mighty Patch Time!

After letting the spot treatment dry, it’s time for the Mighty Patch. I love using these hydrocolloid patches because they work overnight to absorb impurities and reduce the size of the pimple. I’ll literally just peel off the backing and apply the patch directly on the pimple. It’s almost invisible, so I can even wear it during the day if needed.

Step 5: Moisturize

One of my non-negotiables for my skin is moisturizer, even when dealing with a pimple. I love a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer so my skin doesn’t get dry and flaky, which can sometimes happen with acne treatments. Highly recommend this moisturizer from Charlotte Tilbury.

Step 6: Hands Off

It’s tempting to touch or pick at a pimple, but STAY STRONG. Picking can lead to scarring and make the pimple worse. The Mighty Patch helps with this too by acting keeping something physically between my fingers and the pimple.

Step 7: be patient and consistent

Lastly, I try to be patient and consistent. I keep using the Mighty Patch nightly until the pimple is gone, and stick to my regular skincare routine to prevent future breakouts.
